Black and chrome Freightliner Coronado to lead Harley-Davidson Thunder Ride.
A unique Freightliner Coronado will lead the pack in this Saturday’s Thunder Ride as part of a massive Harley-Davidson rally in Paihia, at the tip of New Zealand’s North Island.
Last year, around 1200 Harley riders cruised along behind the big and bold Freightliner, which is decked out in Harley colours, for the Queenstown Thunder Ride.
Event organisers are expecting even more Harleys to get involved this year, given the accessibility for Auckland-based Harley owners. It also expects Harley enthusiasts to jet in from around the world for the Iron Run festival in the Bay of Islands.
Freightliner New Zealand has provided the eye-catching Coronado truck, decked out with lashings of chrome, which will pull a trailer full of merchandise up from Auckland.
After dropping the trailer, the impressive rig will set out in front of the Harley-Davidson pack for the Thunder Ride, which kicks off at 10:30am on Saturday 12th of March. The ride will take in some of the magnificent scenic roads in the region, which is a popular destination for tourists.
